Crosstown Sound

Crosstown Sound Quartet was formed in October, 2003 by Sweet Adelines who love to sing and perform!
Lead singer is Lisa Balzhiser, Regional Controller at Red Lion Hotels; baritone is Laurie Bailey,
a Cash Receipts Specialist at Bullivant Houser Bailey PC, a large west coast law firm; tenor is Suzanne Riles,
a Research Analyst at the Beaverton School District; and bass, Eileen Kemp, is a retired school librarian.
Lisa and Laurie live in Vancouver; Suzanne and Eileen in Tigard—hence the quartet name. Lisa and Suzanne
are members of Pride of Portland Chorus (14th Place International Chorus finalists), Laurie and Eileen sing
with Columbia River Chorus (4th place regional finalists).

Sound Collage

Sound Collage first registered as a new quartet in 2004. After several changes in personnel, the current foursome
has been together since August 2007. The members of the quartet represent three choruses: MaryAnn Barlow, bari, and Joyce Engel, lead, from Columbia River; Ruth Peterson, tenor, from
Pride of Portland; and Margie Talley, bass, from both Pride of Portland and Oregon Spirit.

In Cahoots

The "In Cahoots" Quartet was formed in late January, 2008 by four women with musical backgrounds.
We are each from a different chapter/chorus but are in cahoots to harmonize for you! And we love it!
Our Lead singer (upper right) is Becky Olesen, Admissions Secretary at Evergreen High School in Vancouver;
our Bass (upper left) is Suzy Buerer, Information Systems Project Manager for Kroger, Inc.;
our Tenor (lower right), Kristine Bendixen, works for SEH America in the Chem Lab,
and our Baritone (lower left), Donna Ebner, is a hydrologist for the Army Corps of Engineers.
Kristine sings with the Pride of Portland Chorus, Suzy with the Columbia River Chorus,
and Donna with the Northwest Harmony chorus. Becky is chapter at large.
